If you are looking for different things to do in San Juan, Puerto Rico particularly on a rainy day, the Carolina Children's Museum (Museo del Niño) is a place you should not miss. The impressive museum structure and grounds houses 103 interactive exhibitions, games, go kart track, petting zoo and even a real MD-80 jetliner.
Children and adults (only admitted accompanied by a child) will be entertained for hours, there is truly something for everyone. Some of the more interesting exhibits include an erupting volcano, TV station, and the aforementioned jetliner. Kids can dress-up and role-play in different scenarios that are educational and informative such as working at a bank, dentist office, supermarket, construction site and more. There is even a theatre complete with lots of wardrobe and make-up.
There are also quite areas that kids can use to really get into creative activities like coloring, building and designing things, learning about music, ecology and much more.
