Situated in an area in excess of 300 acres of pristine countryside; surrounded by mountains, valleys, and endless amounts of trails to travel through on horseback. Hacienda 8A has belonged to the same family for generations, who have a real expertise and passion for nurturing horses, and accommodating them in fantastic and modern facilities. The main grounds is where the stables are kept, with the addition of an equestrian centre for the more experienced rider, a warm up arena, and two enclosed circular rings for intense training. Ample facilities are also on the main site that are predominantly used for celebratory events such as birthdays, and are inclusive of a cafeteria, restaurant, restrooms, and panoramic views over the natural surroundings.
At the equestrian centre the initial process is for the visitor and the horse to become fully comfortable in one another’s presence in a relaxed environment. On completion mounting the horse is achievable either on a saddle, or without for amateurs as this enhances the balance and control of the rider. Lessons are taught in English and each trainee is fully equipped with protective and suitable clothing. Alternatively organised trail rides are a great way to explore the vast and beautiful area which includes the El Yunque tropical rainforest. Many activities can also be arranged for corporate events, and meetings.
