Fern Restaurant
Puertorico
The restaurant resides in an old Spanish colonial building in the heart of the Bahia Beach Resort, on the east region of the island. Inside you will find a compelling blend of traditional Caribbean influences that coincide with Afro-Caribbean textiles that are gelled together in a contemporary manner. An ocean backdrop runs parallel to the restaurant, implemented by clear double doors for panoramic views over the beach and clear water. There is an additional option for a private dining experience that seats up to 10 diners; lit up by a drooping chandelier, and surrounded by a mature wine case. The menu is inspired by local Caribbean ingredients intertwined with modern western classics.
On the dinner menu a concise selection of dishes can be ordered; for an appetiser the black pepper octopus is particularly popular and wine pairings are suggested for many of the entrees. This can be followed by their classic deserts of cheesecake and tiramisu, and a sample of one of the desert wines. Fern restaurant is also open for breakfast and brunch with lighter items on the menu such as eggs Benedict. Fern is more expensive than many of the other nearby restaurants, and is more suited for romantic meals and special occasions, although families are also welcome; children can enjoy the kids menu.
Opening times: Daily breakfast 07:00 AM-11:30 AM; Daily brunch 12:00 PM-04:00 PM; Dinner, Sunday - Thursday 06:00 PM-10:00 PM, Friday & Saturday 06:00 PM-11:00 PM.
