Regarded as one of the premier Specialty Coffee Shops of Old San Juan, the barista who makes your coffee behind the counter is in fact the owner, Joaquin, a certified coffee grower and responsible for his bean production, in the town of Ciales, which he then roasts in store.
Not only is it local and environmentally friendly, but Espresso Art nails taste, coming second place in Cup of Excellence at the 2010 Puerto Rico coffee fair.
Now located at 267 Calle San Francisco, Espresso Art is laid out like a living room with sofas and comfy chairs great air conditioning and good music making it the perfect place to stop in read a book, hang out and just enjoy life sipping a great cup of coffee.
They also serve a selection of homemade cakes, pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins and pastries and sandwiches, the Carrot Cake muffin with cream frosting and the rabbit turnovers are a must try.
