Barrachina Old San Juan
Great Piña Coladas! Food is also very good and reasonable priced Dine in the interior courtyard or in one of the dining rooms. Large bar available for watching sports. Live Flamenco shows.
Barrachina located in beautiful Old San Juan, Puerto Rico serves creative Puerto Rican and International cuisine in a setting that only this centuries old city can provide.
Home and birthplace of the world famous Piña Colada, first mixed by don Ramon Portas Mignot in 1963. The drink is still made with the original recipe and a must have when visiting the restaurant.
Food is excellent and served by a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. You can't really go wrong with any of the choices on the extensive menu. Try the Mofongo varieties as well as the paella and fried red snapper. My favorite is the Mofongo filled with Shrimp pictured below.
Daily Lunch specials featuring typical Puerto Rican food starting at $6.00 are available, ask your server about the featured items.
There is also a kids menu available with lots of tasty kid favorite choices.
Barrachina Old San Juan is a great place to visit for tasty appetizers and drinks including the unforgettable Piña Colada or a full course expertly prepared meal.
There is a live Flamenco show every Friday and Saturday from 8:00pm to 9:00pm.
