A visit to La Marquesa Forest Park is a wonderful way to spend an enjoyable few hours with the family enjoying nature and some incredible views.
A wonderful place to visit in the San Juan Metro area, La Marquesa Forest Park is an ecological park located in the Sonadora section of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
This beautiful park covers about 600 acres of preserved forest, containing an aviary, butterfly house, zip line and much more. Upon arriving at the park and paying a small entrance fee, you will receive and information flyer and map. There is a free trolley that will take you to the observation tower, playgrounds and other features of the park. You can also ride the funicular (cable car lift) up to the aviary.
Be prepared for a steep walk from where the trolley leaves you and the tower entrance. At the base of the tower there is a small playground and picnic tables for you to rest before climbing the steps to the top of the tower.
The park also has hiking trails, picnic areas, gift shop and cafeteria.
Cost of admission to the park is $3.00 for children and seniors $6.00 for adults.
