La Fragua means 'The Forge' in Spanish, this rustic restaurant located in the Porta del Sol (South Region) town of Jayuya, Puerto Rico serves up some serious and authentic Puerto Rican food. Café Hacienda San Pedro a working coffee farm located on the slopes of some of the most beautiful mountains on the island.

The menu offers a selection of chicken meat and seafood and a couple of vegetarian items. Also on the menu is Mofongo, a signature Puerto Rican dish made of mashed plantain with garlic and pork cracklings. 

There is a full bar and nice selection of wines for your drinking enjoyment.

The dining room is rustic with a partial view of some coffee processing equipment used by the hacienda. You can dine inside or outside on the wraparound veranda. 

La Fragua is a great stop if you are in the Porta del Sol Region on weekends, the restaurant is only open from Friday to Sunday.
