Café La Plage
Puertorico
At a glance
Located on the beachfront, with cabanas, lounge beds and palm trees, this is idyllic by all standards. Part of a beautiful, modern hotel complex, inspirited by European boutiques, it is the perfect destination for tranquility and natural beauty. Tiki torches surround intimate private tables for the ultimate romantic dinner.
The menu is internationally inspired and is enjoyed alfresco, so guests can hear the waves lapping at the nearby shore as they enjoy their exclusive cuisine. Whilst the influences are global, the most popular plates are the fresh seafood, perhaps it is something to do with being on the beach, but nothing can beat this locally caught and prepared flavour. There are wide selections of Caribbean fusion dishes, which have to be sampled. This experience gives guests a welcome break from the plethora of Puerto Rican restaurants offering only Spanish dishes.
This is the place to be seen in San Juan and is perfect for evening dining and drinks afterwards. As the sun sets, the DJ begins and brings live music for the perfect after dinner activity. The wine list is also reputable and extensive and has a wide range of price brackets for every budget. At the weekends, the beach hosts a party with an eclectic and stylish crowd.
