Tucked away in the Porta Cordillera (Central Region) town of Naranjito, Puerto Rico is Bolitas Restaurant by Chef Amaury. If you are traveling through the Panoramic Route in Central Puerto Rico then you must stop and eat here. Chef Amaury Berrios has creatively taken traditional Mofongo and incorporated all the tasty goodness into bite-sized 'Bolitas' (Balls). The finished product is incredibly tasty and can be had as an appetizer or side-dish. The 'Bolitas' come in three versions, Plantain, Yucca or Tri-Fongo (combination of plantain, yucca and sweet plantain).
Do not be fooled by the restaurants name, this great eatery also serves many other specialty dishes like a Surf n' Turf with creamy risotto.
