Aureola Mexican Cantina Bar & Restaurant
Puertorico
Aureola's bills itself as a 'Mexican Canteen' and it serves up a great range of Mexican dishes, which can make an exciting change to Puerto Rican food but the food here is pricey even though the portions come in abundance.
The nachos are a great starter - especially topped with the house beef and jalapeño peppers.
Follow this with the Enchilada, which comes served with a salsa salad, guacamole, sour cream, refried beans and four flour wraps for a build your own course. One of these dishes would be perfectly adequate for two people.
The bar tender also makes a fantastic Mojito using local Don Q rum and doesn't hold back with the quantities that he puts in either. Just be warned that cocktails (and food) here are also more expensive than boutique cocktail bars like La Factoria down the street, so don't be surprised when you get the bill.
