Grab a board and paddle straight out. The WOW Surf School beach setup sits on the sand in front of the Ritz-Carlton in Isla Verde, so your rental starts a few steps from the water. Our crew surfs these breaks daily and matches you with a board sized to your height, weight, and experience: stable, forgiving shapes for beginners and improvers, or high-performance boards if you want speed and drive. Every board goes out with fresh wax and a quality leash, and each one is checked between rentals. Before you paddle out we give you the read on the day - tides, wind, and where the wave is breaking - so you know exactly where to go. Rent for two hours, a full day, or two days, and ask the crew about beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards if you want to make a day of it. WOW Surf School is led by founder William Chino Sue-A-Quan, a professional surfer with an international competition record, and the team brings more than 30 years of combined experience. Look for the blue, black, and yellow gear on the sand. New to surfing? Add a private or group lesson and get coached before you head out on your own.

Important Information

• Check in with the WOW Surf School crew on Pine Grove Beach, directly behind the Ritz-Carlton in Isla Verde - look for the blue, black, and yellow gear - and sign the rental agreement before you take a board. Rentals are self-guided and no instruction is included, so you should be comfortable swimming in the ocean; if you are new to surfing, book a private or group lesson instead. Two-hour and full-day rentals run within our daily beach hours (full day is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), and boards must be returned to the crew at the end of your rental. Conditions can change, so we may limit or cancel rentals for safety if the ocean or weather does not cooperate; if we cannot provide your rental, you will receive a full refund.
