Description

Begin your tour with a visit to the San Felipe del Morro Fort, the Guardian of the Atlantic. Learn about its history and significance as you explore the fort's impressive architecture and enjoy the panoramic views of the ocean. Next, head to the Capitol District, where you will be greeted by all the U.S. presidents who visited Puerto Rico while in office. At the Altar de la Patria, learn about the three ethnic groups that make up Puerto Rican identity and how Puerto Rico became a U.S. territory. Continue your journey to Loiza, a town known for its rich Afro-Puerto Rican culture. We'll drive by the local beaches on the way to Parque Historico Cueva Maria de la Cruz, a natural park with lush vegetation and a fascinating cave. Learn about the park's history and the indigenous people who once inhabited the area. We then make our way to El Yunque National Forest, the only tropical rainforest in the United States National Forest System. Visit the Yokahu Observation Tower for breathtaking views of the forest and the surrounding landscape. Follow this with a visit to La Coca Waterfall, a stunning natural wonder that offers a perfect photo opportunity. We conclude the tour at a family-owned roadside shack where the local food stands out. Choose from fruit platters and smoothies to a full trucker's portion of local food.
