Description
The Canary Islands are home to around 30 species of cetaceans, including dolphins, whales, orcas, and porpoises, making it one of the most biodiverse areas in Europe for marine life sightings. These fascinating animals breathe air, are warm-blooded, and care for their young like us, making each sighting a special experience.
Departing daily from Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria, on a 2.5-hour excursion along the island’s southwest coast, where we search for dolphins and other cetaceans in their natural habitat. Our vessel, Spirit of the Sea, accommodates 97 guests and has a large glass bottom, offering a rare chance to observe the underwater world from the comfort of the boat.
Led by our experienced and multilingual team, you’ll be guided through each encounter and learn how to recognize the different species we may encounter. While dolphin sightings are very likely, on the rare occasion we don’t see any, we’ll provide you with a free return pass for another trip.
Our mission is to provide a respectful and ethical wildlife-watching experience. Holding all the necessary permits from the Canary Islands Government, we’re dedicated to operating in a way that puts the well-being of the animals first, ensuring that all sightings are conducted responsibly.
Seeing dolphins, and sometimes even whales, in their natural setting creates a powerful and memorable experience. Join us to connect with the beauty of the marine world, and leave with a deeper appreciation for protecting these wonderful creatures.
Includes
2.5-hour Catamaran Excursion

Sighting Guarantee: If we are unable to spot any cetaceans during the excursion, we will provide you with a complimentary voucher to enjoy the experience again at your convenience (valid for one year)
Important Information
- You will receive a free ticket for another trip if you do not see any dolphins
- It's important to be aware that we'll be navigating the Atlantic Ocean, and the boat may experience some movement in certain areas, even when we're stationary for whale watching. If you're prone to seasickness, we recommend taking sickness pills before we set sail, taking them as directed by the manufacturer (these should be taken in advance for best results). To help prevent seasickness, we also suggest focusing your gaze on a fixed point, avoiding reading or using your phone, drinking plenty of water, and avoiding fatty foods
- We cannot be held responsible for any discomfort caused by seasickness during the voyage
- The boat is accessible to people with reduced mobility and features restrooms and a bar area
